The Maintenance Shift Supervisor (MSS) works closely with senior management to ensure the service
requirements of the Authority’s fleet of vehicles are done on time and in a safe and efficient manner in
accordance with DOT/FTA guide lines.
Coordinate with Maintenance shift supervisors to schedule and/or resume vehicle maintenance on
assigned shift. Works closely with Dispatcher to accommodate line calls dispatch mechanics and schedule
repairs in an expedient manner. Review work orders for accuracy and ensure production schedules are
met. With prioritization, safety, quality and efficiency foremost, the MSS estimates productivity times and
establishes or adjusts shift employees’ production schedules. Analyze and assist in the resolution of work
related problems and diagnosis of malfunctions with machinery and equipment during shift.
Responsible for all activities associated with the maintenance of the Authorities vehicles. Schedules
preventative maintenance for each vehicle according to the Maintenance Plan. Ensures all scheduled
vehicles are inspected and serviced in a timely manner. Responsible for quality control of all work
completed on shift. Generates and prints work orders, retrieves and issues parts to shift employees,
monitors employee work, reviews completed work orders for accuracy, closes completed work orders.
